Cute Hand Pies with Creamy Chicken Filling

Handliche Mini-Pies mit Hähnchenfüllung

Today I introduce you to cute hand pies with creamy chicken filling. These hand pies are perfect for a buffet, as finger food, snack, but can also be served as a main with a salad on the side. The chicken filling is creamy, the pastry dough comes together quickly and is spiced with some herbs. In my opinion the perfect combination when you have company coming over.

Valentine Cherry Hand Pies

Valentine Cherry Hand Pie

Valentine is around the corner and this is a super simple recipe you can make, it has few ingredients you mostly likely have at home. They contain all-purpose flour, sugar, butter, almonds, one egg, vanilla extract, and cherry jam. Happen to have those at home? If so, let’s have a look at this hand pie, which I specifically made for Valentine! These hand pies are perfect to take along as they fit into any plastic box (no hassle dragging a three-tier cake along), they can be prepared in advance, and they are so small that you can share with more than only your Valentine. On top, they simply are cute to look at and they can be frozen easily. These cherry hand pies are the best!

While sipping my cappuccino my beloved husband made for me and eating a hand pie as a second breakfast, I really thought something was wrong with me. They are perfect to take along as they fit into any plastic box (no hassle dragging them along), they can be prepared in advance, and they are so small that many can share. On top, they simply are cute to look at and they can be frozen easily.

Apricot Turnovers

If there is a fruit I like to take pictures of, it is apricots! I am a huge fan of its color. The wall in our living room is in apricot color. Such a nice, warm color. So I am excited to present to you apricots turnover. They taste just the way they look: warm, juicy, summerish, and refreshing. I just love apricots. Funnily enough, the plain fruit is fine, but I usually prefer them baked paired with for example cream cheese.
