Ein Pie ist, im klassischen Sinne, ein M\u00fcrbeteigboden, der eine F\u00fcllung enth\u00e4lt und schon zu Pioneerzeiten in USA gebacken werden konnte, da keinerlei Triebmittel verwendet wird und er oft aus wenigen Zutaten wie Mehl, Zucker, Butter und \u00e4hnlichem besteht. Uramerikanisch ist der sogenannte <a href=\"https:\/\/jennyisbaking.com\/de\/2021\/10\/15\/klassischer-apple-pie-aus-usa\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Apple Pie<\/a>, in seiner einfachsten Form M\u00fcrbeteig, auf den Apfelscheiben geschichtet werden und dann mit einem Teigdeckel oder Streuseln abgeschlossen wird. Es ist schon ein Ding der Unm\u00f6glichkeit eine Pie-Backform zu kaufen, endlos habe ich Gesch\u00e4fte durchsucht, bis ich irgendwann aufgegeben habe und schlie\u00dflich online eine aus <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.de\/gp\/product\/B005INEBF4\/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&amp;psc=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Glas<\/a> bestellt habe. Denn eine Pie-Backform ist im Gegensatz zu einer Tarteform ohne heraushebbarem Boden, ich habe mich zu Beginn in der Not einer 24er Springform bedient (siehe einige der Bilder unten), auch wenn ein Pie normalerweise ca. 23cm im Durchmesser misst und die Backform nach au\u00dfen hin abschr\u00e4gt, wodurch man noch mehr F\u00fcllung im Verh\u00e4ltnis zum Teig erh\u00e4lt.\u00a0 Wie macht man also diesen ber\u00fchmten Pie? Dazu habe ich zahlreiche Tipps und nat\u00fcrlich auch Rezepte zusammengesucht.<\/p>\n<h2>1. Amerikanischer Pie-Teig wird normalerweise mit Wasser statt Ei hergestellt<\/h2>\n<p>Einer der Hauptunterschiede von <a href=\"https:\/\/jennyisbaking.com\/de\/2018\/04\/23\/ten-tips-on-how-to-deal-with-pie-crust\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">deutschem M\u00fcrbeteig<\/a> vs. amerikanischem Pie-Teig ist der Fakt, dass man traditionell Wasser statt Ei als Bindemittel hernimmt. Dieser <a href=\"https:\/\/jennyisbaking.com\/de\/2021\/10\/15\/klassischer-apple-pie-aus-usa\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">klassische Apple-Pie<\/a> oder dieser <a href=\"https:\/\/jennyisbaking.com\/de\/2023\/04\/21\/einfacher-rhabarber-pie\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Rhabarber-Pie<\/a> sind daf\u00fcr ein gutes Beispiel. Aber nat\u00fcrlich gibt es auch in USA mittlerweile einige Varianten. Diesen <a href=\"https:\/\/jennyisbaking.com\/de\/2022\/07\/01\/sommerlicher-pfirsich-pie\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Pfirsich-Pie<\/a> habe ich mit Buttermilch, diesen <a href=\"https:\/\/jennyisbaking.com\/de\/2021\/06\/25\/klassischer-cherry-pie-oder-kirsch-pie\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Kirsch-Pie<\/a> mit Wodka, diesen <a href=\"https:\/\/jennyisbaking.com\/de\/2019\/10\/18\/apple-pie-with-cream-cheese-pie-crust\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Apple-Pie mit Frischk\u00e4se im Teig<\/a>, und bei <a href=\"https:\/\/jennyisbaking.com\/de\/2022\/08\/26\/apple-pie-mit-einem-schuss-whisky\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">diesem Pie auch Joghurt eingearbeitet<\/a>. Zu Zeiten meiner Gro\u00dfeltern verwendete man auch gerne nicht nur Butter, sondern Schmalz und \u00e4hnliche Fette, um den Pie knusprig, aber ebenso auch elastisch zu machen. Ich pers\u00f6nlich mag jedoch lieber die Variante mit richtiger Butter.<\/p>\n<h2>2. F\u00fcr eine visuelle Hilfe wie man ein sch\u00f6nes Gittermuster machen kann, schau <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/CR9VzFIHupq\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">hier<\/a> vorbei. Wie man auch den Rand sch\u00f6n formen kann, findest du <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/CfgJfTBLd5Y\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">hier<\/a>. Wem das alles zu schwierig ist, aber trotzdem einen m\u00f6glichst amerikanischen Pie produzieren m\u00f6chte, dem seien die f\u00fcnf Teigschlitze ans Herz gelegt (siehe Bild unten), hier abgebildet ist der herzhafte <a href=\"https:\/\/jennyisbaking.com\/de\/2020\/12\/18\/chicken-pot-pie-mit-resten-der-weihnachtsgans\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Chicken Pot Pie<\/a>. Aufw\u00e4ndige Dekorationen hingegen mit z.B. Rosen und anderen ausgeschnittenen Teigformen sind nat\u00fcrlich ebenso m\u00f6glich. Hier werden Kekse (in USA oft Graham Crackers, in Deutschland meist Butterkekse) fein zerbr\u00f6selt und mit geschmolzener Butter vermischt. Hierauf kommt dann eine F\u00fcllung. Wem das Thema M\u00fcrbeteig zu heikel ist, hat hiermit eine einfache Ausweichm\u00f6glichkeit. Entweder der sogenannte <a href=\"https:\/\/jennyisbaking.com\/de\/2022\/05\/13\/klassischer-britischer-banoffee-pie\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Banoffee-Pie<\/a> mit Banane und Karamell oder der <a href=\"https:\/\/jennyisbaking.com\/de\/2021\/01\/22\/amerikanischer-key-lime-pie\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Key Lime Pie<\/a> mit Limetten eignet sich daf\u00fcr sehr gut.<\/p>\n<h2>5. In Kanada habe ich tats\u00e4chlich erlebt, wie en masse Pies hergestellt wurden in den Sommermonaten, um dann in einem riesigen Gefrierschrank aufbewahrt zu werden. Im Winter hat man dann gerne sonntags einen Pie hervorgeholt, gebacken und frisch gegessen. Definitiv eine Variante, wie man Sonntagskuchen herstellen kann. Meine Empfehlung ist definitiv Pie ungebacken einzufrieren. Als grober Richtwert w\u00fcrde ich f\u00fcr einen gefrorenen Pie ca. 20 Minuten zus\u00e4tzliche Backzeit einplanen. Amerikaner servieren Pie gerne mit Vanilleeis<\/h2>\n<p>Man kann Pie grunds\u00f6tzlich entweder noch warm servieren (St\u00fccke zu schneiden ist zwar schwierig, aber es schmeckt himmlisch). Besonders bei warmen Pie eignet sich Vanilleeis statt einem Klecks Sahne. Viele Pies lassen sich hervorragend einfrieren und nat\u00fcrlich auch kalt servieren. Besser schneiden kann man Pie auf jeden Fall immer im kalten Zustand. Wer mag, kann sich ein St\u00fcck kurz in der Mikrowelle erw\u00e4rmen und dann erst Eis dazu servieren.
