Do you eat all the food?

Yes, I definitely try each and every cake, cookie and dish on the blog. I would never publish something I didn’t try myself. It will be a small piece, for sure, but I try everything. My hubby will also try, he is also my biggest critic. If he doesn’t approve, I know it is not worth posting. Sometimes I freeze leftovers or take them to work. What is your favorite dish from the blog?

It will definitely be something sweet and will contain chocolate. For that reason I have a whole chocolate category on the blog. But other than that it varies a lot, depending on season, etc.

What is the most popular recipe of your blog?

Over the years this would be the brownie cookies, runner-up is this raspberry chocolate cake. As a chocoholic, it makes me happy that two chocolate recipes are also your favorite.

Why do you blog in English if you are a German?

I blog in English because I have a lot of international friends who don’t speak German. The reason why I started jennyisbaking was so that I could share recipes I enjoy with others. For me sharing recipes is the most important aspect of this blog and it is also the reason why I invite you to email me recipes I should try.

Why don’t you use cups as a measurement unit?

Weighing ingredients is a much more precise way and guarantees a consistent outcome. I am a German after all 😉
A scale for ingredients really doesn’t cost much, I can only encourage you to invest in one.
Oh, and you will have less things to clean as you don’t need to scrape ingredients out of the measuring cup into the bowl, but pour everything into the bowl right away.

What camera do you use?

Since 2019 I am a proud owner of a Sony Alpha 7. Beforehand I already used Sony, but not a full-frame camera. My favorite lens is the 50mm, I highly recommend it to beginners as it usually is very affordable regardless of the brand. I take all pictures manually. Still a lot to learn in that area. Please be kind, I am not a professional, neither in baking or photography. I take pictures because it is a lot of fun.
