Coffee Shop Peanut Butter Chocolate Chunk Cookies with Caramel and Sea Salt

Peanut Butter Chocolate Chunk Cookies with Caramel and Sea Salt

Cookies are my weakness. Every time I pass a bakery, I have to quickly check whether there are any cookies on display. Peanut butter and chocolate chunk cookies are one of my favorites. Especially if combined with caramel and sea salt. So I decided to create my own version of this coffee shop classic!

Peanut Butter Chocolate Chunk Cookies with Caramel and Sea SaltIf you use my recipe, you will get about 12 cookies. They are large. Bakery-style. Obviously you can make them smaller, but be sure to check baking time if you do. And believe me, one cookie will satisfy your cravings. They are so thick and full of chocolate and caramel, you won’t regret having made them. Continue Reading…

Apparently I am into lemon flavor. This is not the first lemon recipe I have posted here. If you love anything with lemon, be sure to check out the recipes at the end of this post, it includes double lemon cupcakes, pavlova with lemon curd, the classic lemon tartelette from France and other treats. Well, maybe I should clarify, I love lemon flavor, but my husband is obsessed with it. So that’s why I decided to go with yet another lemon recipe: Lemon Meringue Pie!

chocolate chip cookie with brown butter and sea salt

Friends, it is time for a special chocolate chip cookie! One with brown butter and sea salt, because I am into that. Maybe I am lame, but I don’t care, I am in love with chocolate chip cookies. In case you didn’t know, I looked high and low before finally settling on this recipe for the traditional chocolate chip cookie. Believe me, I tried more than 20 recipes, I asked everybody and I made many, many batches. My husband got desperate after eating all those cookies and asked me to stop. But I couldn’t, I had to find the perfect recipe. Which I finally found, thank God.

Peanutbutter M&M Cookies

It is time for cookies! How about peanut butter & M&Ms? Perfect combination for me. Some color as a bonus. Remember, I live in the north of Germany, I need some color. So let’s have a look at these little beauties. They are soft, they basically melt in your mouth. If you love peanut butter, they are for you. Because, just in case super soft cookies are not enough, throw in some chocolate. Because peanut butter and chocolate are very hard to beat as the perfect combination. Do I need to say more?

The Best Chocolate Cupcakes

Die besten Schoko-Cupcakes

I feel it is time for some chocolate. Maybe it’s because I didn’t eat chocolate for three weeks. I wanted to look pretty for my birthday. So I restricted myself to eating relatively healthy, no sweets and no chocolate. That was really hard for me. Three weeks without chocolate? As a chocoholic I am proud to say that I managed. I was allowed to drink one small cup of cocoa per day, but that was about it. I know that a lot of people say they don’t crave chocolate in summer. I am definitely not one of them. I can have chocolate day in and day out. Summer or winter. If there is chocolate, you will find Jenny around.

Lemon, Lemon Meringue Cupcakes

Lemon Cupcake

I love lemon. I always have. I like the smell, the taste, the color. Probably one of the reasons why I chose a lemon tart as my first blog entry. The good thing is that my husband also loves lemon. He is the citric guy anyway. He also enjoys oranges, limes, and grapefruit. The whole package. Even more the reason to try a recipe with a citric fruit. Why not go with a lemon recipe? So here I was looking for something lemony and then I found a delicious lemon cupcake recipe on an Austrian blog. From Kevin who owns the site Law of Baking (German) and who posted this delicious recipe as a guest on the site Ginger in the Basement (in German).

Chicago-Style Pizza (Can Be Vegetarian)

Yay to Chicago-style pizza, my friends! Everybody has an opinion how the perfect pizza is supposed to taste like. There are huge fights about the pizza dough, the thickness, the crust, the amount of cheese, the toppings. I know. I am not getting into that. I am simply going to introduce you to a pizza which is more like a pie. And since I like pie, I was excited to try this one. Deep-dish pizza is another term for this pizza. Because you need a springform. You will put so much cheese and tomato sauce onto it that the regular circle simply doesn’t cut it. Chicago-style pizza is my new favorite. It starts with a very buttery dough, which is then sprinkled with mozzarella cheese (yes, the cheese goes on the bottom), then comes some chorizo (if you like it to be non-vegetarian) and then lots and lots of tomato sauce. Let’s have a closer look at each layer:

My Favorite Chocolate Chip Cookies

best chocolate chip cookies

Are there any cookie monsters out there? I for sure am one of them. I love chocolate chip cookies. The basic recipe. I really love the good old-fashioned chocolate chip cookie. Plain, fresh out of the oven with a glass of milk and I am in heaven. I used to like the cookies from Subway. I loved them so much, I started looking for a recipe that would come as close as possible to the Subway recipe.
