Peach Tart with Four Ingredients

Tarte tatin mit Aprikosen

Today I am presenting a peach tart with only four ingredients: peaches, flour, sugar, and butter. If you have these ingredients at home, feel free to get started on this beauty. This is an upsidedown cake, so you will need an ovenproof pan. However, the tarts I photographed here were all made in Spain and I didn’t have an ovenproof frying pan. This is also possible, just make the caramel separately. Think caramelized peaches that are held together by some dough and you will get this summery dessert. Serve with a dollop of whipping cream or ice cream and you’ve got summer on your plate.

Tomatoe Tart (Tarte Tatin Style)

Tomatoe tart or tarte tatin with tomatoes, pizza margherita with puff pastry dough, I don’t really know how you want to call this beauty, but you will find tomatoes simmered in caramel, baked with the dough on top and then turned upside down. Sprinkle with additional mozzarella, pine nuts and basil, and you can dig into this summery dish. Overnight Waffles with Caramelized Bananas

Die besten belgischen Waffeln mit karamellisierten Bananen

Today I am going to introduce the best Belgian waffles, thick and yummy! These are overnight waffles, the batter is prepared the night before and you basically need to heat your waffle iron the next morning to make this deliciousness. Perfect for any brunch plans, for a weekend breakfast or for anything fancy you wish to make for beloved family and/or friends. I love the crisp outside (you will get lots of tips for that below) of these waffles, yet their interior is nice and soft. Whisk together the ingredients the night before and let the yeast make its magic overnight. So simple, yet so yummy.

Maple Bacon Cupcakes

Ahornsirup-Bacon-Cupcakes

Yes, you read right, today I am serving maple syrup bacon cupcakes! This is definitely an unusual flavor combination. The first time caramelized bacon got my attention was when I saw the Irish blogger using bacon for scones. And once I was paying more attention to bacon in sweet goods, I suddenly saw it on Pinterest, used in and for cupcakes. If you think using bacon in sweet cupcakes is crazy, maybe I can convince you if I say that the bacon is caramelized. I have to say, I do love this crazy sweet and salty flavor combination.
