Finally, today I am going to show you a basic yeast dough recipe, this is a raspberry yeast wreath, which is a wonderful treat for breakfast or if you want something nice with your coffee.
My husband asked for a raspberry sponge roll for his birthday. Since I love sponge rolls, his wish was my command. Simple as that. I honestly have no idea why sponge rolls seem to be very much out of fashion. They are super quick to make and usually are gone with in seconds. Everybody seems to enjoy them. However, for some reason nobody makes them. Go figure. If you look for sponge rolls on my blog, you will find plenty.
Apparently I am not the only one who loves the combination of raspberries with chocolate. For that reason I am introducing today this moist raspberry chocolate layer cake. I was surprised that I got so many reactions when I posted the entire process and end-result as an Instagram story. I am not alone in my love for a things chocolate with some tart raspberries to offset the sweetness of the chocolate.
I have to admit, I am not that much into vegan cakes, but with this vegan chocolate raspberry cake I may be converted. I honestly can’t say whether I prefer this one to the non-vegan version. It all starts with a moist chocolate layer cake. I love the fact that you basically have to throw the ingredients together, whisk them and that’s about it. The raspberry filling is also the perfect companion for the chocolate. And don’t get me started on the frosting. It only contains two ingredients: chocolate and coconut cream, yum! And don’t worry, the coconut flavor is very subtle, I don’t really like coconut and I had a hard time tasting it, so I am sure you will be fine.
Did anyone say you can’t bake cookies in summer? Ha, I would like to disagree with that statement, these raspberry chocolate cookies are prefect for summer. Raspberries, seriously, fresh raspberries scream summer all over. So here you go. I love raspberries with chocolate, in my opinion one of the best flavor combinations. If you don’t want to bake this, go ahead and look for something else, but I am in love with these chocolate raspberry cookies!
Summer is here and I am posting my very first ice cream on this blog, yay! It is a double chocolate ice cream with a raspberry swirl. It actually is so good, I barely managed to take pictures of it, we just had to eat and eat and eat it. Continue Reading…
I decided to take part in a baking challenge. I know, I am crazy. Andrew from the Facebook group Bake Off For Fun invited participants to bake something with these three criteria for April 2017:
- The color pink has to appear
- Something has to be piped
- A heart shape needs to be found
I first wanted to bake a chocolate cake in heart shape, but decided against it. My husband loves eclairs and I still need to practice the batter, so instead I decided to go with eclairs in heart shape. When I did some research on the internet, I was surprised to see that either people made them the classical eclair shape or the shape of cream puffs, so basically balls. Occasionally I would stumble across a swan, but that was about it. Continue Reading…
