Cute Santas from Sugar Cookies

Yay, tomorrow is the official beginning of the season! That’s why I brought along some super cute santas made from sugar cookie dough. I stumbled across the idea last year when I visited one of my favorite blogs, Tieghan made these cute little santas for her cookie box and I was hooked immediately. So finally, one year later, I can scratch off this item from my baking list. Oh, and in case you didn’t know, we have a special day here in Germany on December 6th, Nikolaus is yet another day when children put their freshly polished boots outside the door and then secretly they are filled with sweets and the like. So typically, I wanted these to be ready for December 6. I just hate it when bloggers post the idea on the day itself, I decided to give you the chance to actually make these little cuties on time, so that’s why I am starting the season with them!

Süße Nikoläuse aus MürbeteigDon’t they look amazing? I find them perfect for cookie boxes, as a little gift, to show your love, there are so many ideas when to take them with you. I even managed to freeze them, sugar cookies are super easy to freeze when plain, but I even froze these santas sucessfully with buttercream aka their beards. Seriously, why not invite a friend, turn on some music and make these santas? Preparing the dough doesn’t take long, and forming the santas is so much more fun when you have company.

Cute Pumpkin Cookies in Pumpkin Shape

Kürbis-Plätzchen in Kürbisform

I made cute pumpkin cookies in pumpkin shape! Reason was for Pinterest apparently telling me to make pumpkin cookies, all I saw was something pumpkin. So I obeyed and thought, why not make some pumpkin sugar cookies? For this I turned to my favorite sugar cookie recipe. Because, you know, IF you make a cookie shaped like a pumpkin, it sure should contain pumpkin. At least in my opinion. And then I also wanted some fall spices, like cinnamon, cloves, ginger, and nutmeg. So I threw in this spice mix. It actually is very similar to the one of my beloved pumpkin spice latte. And in the end I got these cute little cookies.

Cute Elephant Cookies for a Baby Shower

How to make elephant sugar cookies

In case you didn’t know, I love cookies. Actually, I am a bit sad that in Germany you only eat a lot of cookies during Christmas, but once that is over, people forget about them. Sadly so. There are so many good ones! I love below cookies, but there are so many more I still want to make. Feel free to check out my cookie category for further inspiration.

Anyway, so as I was stating, I love cookies and I love to eat them all year round. Needless to say that I also love to bake cookies for baby showers. In case you didn’t notice, I am not so much the girly, pink and glittery type. That is not me. But for a baby shower I don’t mind a litte bit of cuteness. I mean, it is for a baby after all. Or to be exact, for the mom and for the baby shower attendees. Or however you want to call them.
